The Half Tuck

Hey guys, It’s Kaylyn, the PR gal for Willow Boutique. Since I started with Willow, I can honestly say I learn something new every day. Not necessarily always about fashion, but there is always something happening at the stores! For example, I can now pack a customer order in under 10 seconds; I can spot a Tory Burch bag from a mile away; I can pronounce every type of fabric known to Mankind; and I can probably tell you the background of every clothing designer there is. But once in a blue moon, I’m introduced to something that completely stumps me; things that I didn’t even know existed…like the half tuck and the knotted tee.

If you know Celia, you know she’s never present without one or the other. Just the other day, I watched her try on a new top and tug on the bottom for about 2 seconds and BAM! she created “the perfect half tuck”. She assures me this is from lots of half tucks as she runs out the door in the morning. So I decided, I needed to learn how to do this half tuck since both Celia and Cindy rock this effortless look several times a week.

She wasted no time in teaching me how to achieve the half-tuck-look by telling me, “the key to getting the perfect half tuck is by picking a side – left or right – but never in the middle!” However, you’ve been warned: the half tuck is no small feat! It requires skill and practice. Put some muscle into it! And if you find that your half tuck doesn’t quite look right, there’s always the knotted tee, a perfect look if your shirt needs a little oomph!

So, I leave you with the half tuck and the knot. Welcome to the club!
